The 30th Oedo Festival Bon Dance Festival in Chuo-ku

The 30th Oedo Festival Bon Dance Festival in Chuo-ku

The 30th Chuo-ku Oedo Festival Bon Odori Tournament is being held at Hamacho Park on September 23 and 24. The magnificent wadaiko and singing voice unfolding on the stage of the large turret in Japanese lantern, set up in the center of the Hamacho Playground, resonate in the night sky, and the dance rings spread in multiple layers, showing excitement.

There are various booths such as the Oedo fair corner, the specialty city corner in the ward, the friendship and exchange city (Hinohara Village, Fujikawaguchiko Town, Higashine City, Tochigi City, Tamano City) corner, and the antenna shop corner. This year, in order to expand the dance space and ensure the safety of visitors, the break corner in the playground will be reduced, exclusively for the elderly and disabled, and instead a free space for rest will be set up in Hamacho Park Lawn Plaza. Newly established.

Familiar songs such as the ward's original song "This is Edo Bon Dance" and "Tokyo Olympics Ondo-2020-", which was remade to foster a spirit for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, flow one after another. The venue is filled with the enthusiasm of a large number of visitors as a festival that conveys history, tradition, style and humanity.
