Remotely navigates the beloved Chuo-ku, rosemary sea.

"Scenery of the ward border", this time I really came to the "end of the edge".

I passed through Nakasu Park and walked to the base of Kiyosu Bridge.

First of all, from "Nakasu Park in Chuo Ward" ...

I entered the park from the back.

I also took the sign in the beginning picture first.

It’s a city park with no idea...

The flow of the Sumida River is really calm.

My heart seems to be clear.

ーElegant shape is modeled by a German suspension bridge

This bridge was planned together with Eitai Bridge as a reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake, and was completed in 1928.

The design is modeled on a suspension bridge in Cologne, Germany (no longer exists).

In contrast to the Eitai Bridge, it is a bridge with an elegant shape that flows.

The name "Cheongju" was derived from the connection between Nihonbashi Nakasu-cho and Fukagawa-ku Kiyosumi-cho, which was located on both banks at the time of construction.

In June 2007, it was evaluated as "a suspension bridge representing the early Showa era by cutting-edge technology at the time" and was designated as a national important cultural property.

Rosmari also likes "Kiyosu Bridge" very much.

Civil engineering heritage selected by the Society of Civil Engineers

Twin Gate (Kiyosu Bridge) that decorates the Imperial Capital

"Reconstruction is more than a bridge", which was the slogan of the reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake.

The first and second bridges, which are the entrance of the Sumida River, which represents the imperial capital, were directed by a masculine image (Eitai Bridge) and a feminine image (Kiyosu Bridge) with a graceful downward curve.

In addition to this, the Japan Society of Civil Engineering selected Eitai Bridge and Kiyosu Bridge as one set for the following reasons, and selected them as the first prized civil heritage.

ー ◆ ー

● The two bridges are the centerpiece of the earthquake reconstruction bridges created by bringing together the best of modern bridge technology.

● Kiyosu Bridge is a special suspension bridge that seeks beauty.
