Running course that you can enjoy like a trip run-Tsukuda edition-
Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
I've been participating in marathon events for two consecutive days on weekends!
I want to make a habit of running as it is, but the problem is that when I leave work, the sun has already fallen and it has become difficult to run.
Meanwhile, I found a running course in Tsukuda where I could enjoy both historical sites and night views that motivated me even after leaving work.
This time, I will introduce such a course from a correspondent's point of view.♪
Route: Tsukuda Sanchome Park-Near the site of the Tsukuda Island ferry port (see map below)
Distance: Approx. 1km
Below is an evaluation by the author's own discretion.
Quietness:★★★★★

Brightness:★★★☆☆
Transportation convenience:★★★★☆
Peripheral environment (whether or not there is a washroom or shop):★★★★★
Night view:★★★★★
Historic Sites and Tourist Spots Enhancement:★★★★☆

The starting point this time is Tsukuda Sanchome Park, which has a public toilet.
If you don't want to go up and down the stairs, you might want to start with the terrace along the canal below.
Although it is quiet, there are many houses around the area and you can feel the presence of people, so there is a sense of security.
Then, it's a running start while watching the flower bed and night view!
After a short run, you will see the ruins of the Kappo cuisine Ryokan Kaikaikan, which opened in 1905, on the left side.
Until it was burned down by the Great Kanto Earthquake, many writers, including Toson Shimazaki, Kaoru Osanai, Isamu Yoshii, and Rofu Miki, stayed in this scenic and quiet place facing Tokyo Bay.
If you run a little, you will get along the Harumi Canal.
The point of view when I actually ran is like this.
Since this course is along the shape of the island, it is characterized by the fact that the scenery you see changes rapidly.
At first, I was only looking at the night view on the opposite bank and boats that gracefully travel back and forth through the Sumida River, but when I curve at the northern end of the island (in Ishikawajima Park and Paris Square), Chuo-ohashi Bridge suddenly appears.
The Chuo-ohashi Bridge often spans, and there was not much opportunity to see from below, so I was overwhelmed by this power and presence.
Because it is a real world, it is 3D in the first place, but you may not know the power as if you have entered the world of 3D movies unless you actually visit it.
Also, if you run while looking at the modern tower apartment lined up along the Sumida River, you will see the ruins of Ishikawajima Lighthouse, which gives you a sense of history.
The change in the landscape as if you had a time slip from the present age to the Edo period in an instant is interesting, and even those who are not good at continuing to run can run a certain distance while enjoying the scenery ^^
Just a short time before becoming Meiji period, Junji Shimizu, a magistrate of Ishikawajima Ashoba, contributed to installing nightlights for ships sailing at the mouth of the Sumida River and off the coast of Shinagawa.
Today, the Sumida River is where futuristic cruising boats and houseboats come and go, but in the middle of the 17th century, fishermen on Tsukuda Island slowly crossed the river by boat departing from Tsukuda Island ferryboat .
Even though the scenery seen changes, it seems that there is still something in common in terms of water transportation about 375 years ago.

Nearby is the Tsukuda Machikado Exhibition Hall, where you can see lion heads, old maps, Tsukuda Bon Odori, and materials about the cityscape.
It is always open, so it's a nice point to enjoy running early in the morning or running after sunset.♪
And this time, we introduce it as a running course, but in fact it can be said that it is a perfect course for walking.
This is because equipment like "healthy komichi" is installed in some places, so you can not only walk but also easily conscious of your health.
In addition, public toilets are enriched at the starting point (Tsukuda Sanchome Park), almost halfway point (in Ishikawajima Park), and around the goal point (Ishikawajima Lighthouse Ruins), so even if you sweat and replenish a lot of water, you do not have to worry about finding a restroom.

There are multiple supermarkets and convenience stores in the surrounding area, and it is easy to grasp the distance of about 1 km, making it convenient for beginners to run.♪
On the day I went to run, the members of the running club were training with the coach.
While it is easy for beginners, it also has stairs and slopes, so it can be recommended for those who want more undulating running.
As you can see in the top image, you can also see the sky tree lit up, so there is a special feeling!
Above all, there are plenty of landscapes and historical sites that symbolize different times, so you can enjoy it as if you were traveling (running while watching a different scenery at your destination etc.)
If you live or work in Chuo-ku, or want to run in a different place, why not run this course?
