Summer in Minato 2019

Hello, this is Minato kid.
It's hot this summer! That said, in September, the cicada's Oai chanting seems to have calmed down little by little. New customers can now be seen on the Sumida River Terrace in Minato.

There were six stakes in the river. This seems to have been set up as a place where work boats and the like are anchored. There is a permanent rope on the stake and a lamp is also attached. Sometimes the ship is parked.

And this stake is usually a special seat for a certain customer. It's a bird!
In this season, "black-tailed gull" almost fills the seats, but one day "U" and "Shirosagi" were lined up along well.

Since one bird stops on one stake, up to 6 birds will be limited. The competition rate seems to be high, but unexpectedly, all six stakes will not be filled. Interestingly, it is a pattern in which there are still empty piles, but try to stop at the other black-tailed gull stops, and fights. If you are chased, you will inevitably land on the surface of the Sumida River while squealing with a mecher and begin to shake.

It is always the case that black-tailed gull will play such a battle. black-tailed gull never beats other kinds of birds. There seems to be a good thing for the birds.

And the interesting sight I saw today was that grey heron had stopped. This is something unique.

He set up on the highest stake, spread both wings, and started sunbathing. Speaking of sunbathing in this pose, U is familiar, but grey heron also poses like this!

It looked like a bronze statue or something, and it looked very thankful with the skyscrapers of Tsukuda River City 21 on the opposite bank and the Chuo-ohashi Bridge in the background. That's why I turned my camera with Pashari.

Currently, Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge is under construction for lighting up. Beyond that, a high-rise apartment building under construction on Tsukishima is beginning to show his head. I think the town is going to change. In Minato, where I am standing now, there were two high-rise apartments in no time when I turned around.

As a monument to the changing town, grey heron created a shadow in the summer sky at dawn. It is a monument that appears only for a moment.

After a little more, the gull will come back from a long journey. Then, this Sumida River terrace will become even more lively. At that time, there was only a few countdowns until the Olympics.
