A lot of charms of New Zealand!
New Cafe Bar Ajito.N
Hello. I'm the active correspondent Hanes!
Recently, it has suddenly become winter, but have you changed?
I used to walk around Irifune recently, but a few months ago I came to see cute sheep in the top photo on the roadside.
I thought, "This must be a cafe in a country with a lot of sheep!", I went to the interview immediately.♪
Mr. Ajito.N, who is natural and gentle to those with allergies.
This time, I took care of Mr. Ajito.N (Ajito N), who makes me feel calm from a natural appearance.
It is a relatively new New Zealand-themed cafe bar that just opened in Irifune a few months ago.
The three women who manage and operate here have experience living in New Zealand, are very friendly, easy to talk to, and just want to stay longer.
First of all, please take a look at the inside of the cozy store.♪
Isn't it possible to tell from the photograph that there is somewhere warm?
Such cafe bars offer mainly food and drinks related to New Zealand.
I've never been to New Zealand, but the first thing that caught my eye for oat lovers is here!
ANZAC Biscuit (Ann Zak Biscuit) made of corn meal, oat, coconut, and date syrup that is handmade by the shop.
I was worried about the word ANZAC, which I couldn't hear, and when I asked the store, ANZAC was the initial letter of the "Australia-New Zealand Army Corps (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps)" formed during World War I. I was told.
However, it is Ajito.N, which is run by people who have stayed in New Zealand, doesn't end the conversation there!
First of all, because this biscuit lasts a long time and has high nutritional value, mothers and wives often baked for soldiers going to the battlefield.
And the story expands into a historical scene.
Back on April 25, 1915, when both Australia and New Zealand participated in a large-scale war.
In order to capture the Gallipoli Peninsula, a major harm in the Strait of Dardanels, a landing operation was carried out with the British army....
However, the operation failed and killed more than 30,000 people (one quarter of which was Australian soldiers).
It was praised by the British media for fighting bravely despite a large number of deaths, and ANZAC became heroic in both countries.
I myself didn't think I could learn so much at a cafe bar in Chuo-ku that I visited!
"Is it possible to get new New Zealand information every time I visit?"
I like history and the back story of biscuits has just become longer, but the most important taste is that the sweetness is low as if it maximizes the natural taste and sweetness of the material.
In addition, it is many times thicker than commercially available biscuits, so it can be eaten better.♪
In addition to this biscuit, we recommend muffins and scones that are handmade every morning ^^
It seems that they also offer a rare snack flavor, and what kind of taste is lined up in the store is fun for the day.♪
With a lineup that seems to be in overseas bakeries and cafes, I wanted to try it when I was hungry.
Also, according to the shop, restaurants in New Zealand generally take measures against allergies, so Ajito.N offers a menu that can be enjoyed by those with allergies!
In addition to being able to change milk to soy milk or almond milk when ordering coffee, there are menus that do not use eggs, milk (dairy products), or flour, and lactoose-free and sugar-free.
For example, banana loaf cake does not use eggs, corn meal bread does not use flour.
Furthermore, even if they are currently using these materials, they are considering creating a menu that will not be used later.
For those who are allergic and have difficulty eating out, especially those who are visiting Japan and want to check their allergies in English, I would like to introduce them in the future.♪
And at lunch time, you can enjoy a lunch set (1200 yen), such as sausage and onion saute clock mush, panpot seafood chauder (limited to 5 meals), pasta gratin soup with OZZO pasta, etc.
It's nice to come with coffee or tea.♪
On the other hand, you can also see New Zealand elements from drinks.
First of all, the coffee "All Press" roasted in New Zealand.
In addition, the recommended menus "Manuka Hanny Remonsquash" and "Date Almond Milk Latte (Hot Ice)" are also typical of New Zealand.
I liked dates due to the influence of my host family, and ordered day almond milk latte (hot) at the time of coverage.
Of course, I was most impressed that Latte was not only 70% to 80% of cups, but literally plenty of tops!
It may be a trivial thing, but I'm pretty happy about this.♪
And cafe bars can speak English, so there are also customers from overseas.♪
The other night, when I passed by the cafe, I saw excitement with overseas customers.
There was interaction with customers and regular customers, and the atmosphere was very likely to be on an overseas street corner.
Rare New Zealand goods
Mr. Ajito.N, who has a lot of delicious menus, is particular about the interior as New Zealand.
This shelf is full of New Zealand goods that remind you of the sports festival that was held until early this month.
There was also a 39 bag about New Zealand's 39 promotion that was talked about a while ago, and I saw it just close.♪
In addition, New Zealand elements such as sheep, turtles, and yamoru are studded throughout the store.
In the bathroom, there is a mirror depicting candles and bees that can enjoy the rich fragrance of Manuka honey from an acquaintance who runs a beekeeping farm that produces Manuka honey in New Zealand.
Iwashio rivsalt, which originated in Sweden, is also displayed in a fashionable fashion, and the commitment to materials is also transmitted.
On the wall of the kitchen, there is also a can of herb tea that condenses the rich nature of New Zealand and the knowledge of the Maori tribe called Ti Ora, which is not a Kia Ora, and a box of whiskey from New Zealand, which is also fashionable.♪
New Zealand lovers may be a cafe bar that you can't miss.
Eco-friendly initiatives
Ajito.N is not just particular about the taste and decoration of New Zealand!
In fact, eco-friendly initiatives were hidden in the fashionable part!
Please pay attention to something like a cloth laid under this delicious muffin.
Here, it is called "Eco Wrap", and the surface of the cloth is painted with beeswax, and it can be used many times by washing and drying with water.
Because it has moisture retention, it seems useful when covering a salad bowl or wrapping a sandwich for lunch and bringing it to work.♪
Of course, depending on how to use and frequency, if beeswax comes off, it can be repaired with an iron, and it lasts about a year. What eco!
It seems that it is gradually spreading in Japan, so I also want one piece.
If you look closely at this yellow eco-lap, it looks like a beehive.♪
Simplicity and cuteness coexist, so you can have a fun and eco-friendly approach.
Well, recently, efforts have been made around the world to reduce disposable plastic throughout the country.
Plastic cups in coffee shops and convenience stores are plastic waste that comes out on a daily basis.
Some shops have changed to more environmentally friendly paper cups for a while ago, and it seems that eco-friendly initiatives are spreading in Japan and Chuo-ku.
Meanwhile, Ajito.N is working on another eco-friendly approach.
That is, if you bring a food container, you can get a 10 yen discount!
If you would like to take out, don't forget to use a container for muffins or biscuits.♪
Ajito.N, who feels New Zealand and is also eco-friendly, is a cafe bar that can be recommended for those who live in Chuo-ku, those who work, and those who walk around Hatchobori and Tsukiji.
Why don't you visit it once?
