The Karakuri Clock is a symbol tower of Ningyocho.
In October's blog, I was tightening my schedule to take up the 31st Tenten Festival.
It is a fun event in Ningyocho that is held around October 10 every year.
It is the name of the festival over Totsuki and Oka (October 10) during the period until childbirth, in connection with the safe delivery of the sacred virtue of Suitengu.
However, on October 13 (Sun), the scheduled date of the Tenten Festival, it was canceled due to the invasion of a super-large typhoon that caused a massive disaster in the Japanese Islands.
Ningyo-cho's annual autumn event, Ningyo-cho, was also canceled in consideration of safety.
The transportation network in the Tokyo metropolitan area was quite confused, and I think it is an unavoidable decision.
By the way, when walking along Ningyocho-dori, the "Karakuri Ogura" is a landmark.
This time, I focused on this tower, which is also a symbol of the town.
There are two towers.
"Edo Rakugo" is located on the Suitengu side. The height is 6m50cm.
Karakuri, which represents the bustle of Edo, is now available.
It starts working every hour from 11:00 to 19:00.
When the rakugo storytelling plays, the curtain opens and a storyteller appears.
"The origin of Ningyocho" is spoken by Danko Tatekawa.
In order to match it, the picture in the upper row turns around.
People who supported the vibrancy of Edo, such as a bar fish shop, a carpenter who carried a tool box, a gorgeous geisha, and a husband of a large shop, will appear.
The other is the "town fire extinguisher" on the side of Ningyocho intersection. The height is 7m55cm.
Here, when the fire extinguisher turns around and the woodwork flows, the picture in the upper row rotates, and the master transfers the "Hagumi" coat.
In the Edo period, the neighborhood of Ningyocho was handled by the "Hagumi" of the 48 groups of town fire extinguishing Iroha.
And when the roof rises, it appears ... ladder ride.
The skill is determined on the ladder (ladder).
This doll is located in a high position, so many people don't notice it even when taking pictures or videos.
Please find it and take a look.
A whale appeared on the street corner.
It is said that the name of Ningyocho originated from the fact that during the Edo period there were puppet ballad drama and Kabuki huts where many puppeteers lived, or that there were shops selling dolls such as Hina doll.
And there is a statue of "Whale" in Ningyocho.
1-6 Nihonbashi Ningyocho, opposite Uokyu Main Store.
Is it a monument that a whale appeared in Edo Bay?
The puppet ballad drama Bunraku doll's gimmick requires spring to move it smoothly, and it seems that the raw material is the clam beard. 。
Is it also used for karakuri dolls?
"Whale, the Sea and Ningyocho"
This led to the object of whales.
