It is said that Naozane Kumagai, a military commander from Musashi country who played an active part in Genpei war, stopped by when he returned to his hometown of Kumagaya-go, Musashi country (currently Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture), and was built after his name.
There is a small golden shrine sits in a part of the building.
