Tokyo Tower "Celebration of His Majesty the Emperor" Special Light Up

Tokyo Tower "Celebration of His Majesty the Emperor" Special Light Up

Ten years have passed since the installation of "Diamond Ver", which started lighting in 2008 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Tokyo Tower, and lighting has been discontinued since February 2019 due to long-term maintenance. It was renewed as the light "Infinity Diamond Ver" of the new era of Reiwa, and its first lighting was celebrated on November 7. A total of 268 LEDs are controlled for each unit. Combining a variety of colors and movements, it is lit on weekends and anniversaries, adding a new color to the night view of Tokyo.

On the day before the celebration ceremony (November 9) and the day (10), the "Emperor's throne celebration celebration light-up" is lit (18:00-24:00). This is a special program of "Infinity Diamond Ver" with the motif of "five-colored curtains" with vertical stripes of blue, white, red, yellow, and green, displayed at the time of celebration at temples and shrines.

From the Sumida River Terrace in Kachidoki, you can see the five-colored lights slowly change color every 15 seconds as if wearing the tower body.
