RIKISHI MEN Hiroyuki Kimura Solo Exhibition: Etsuko Shibata Gallery
I went to the art invent "Xmas Art Festa 2019" (2019.12.6-14), which has been held by a gallery in the Ginza area since 2009.
26 galleries are posted on the gallery map, but I will introduce Hiroyuki Kimura's solo exhibition "RIKISHI MEN" held at Etsuko Shibata Gallery in Ginza 1-chome, who was addicted to the points of Tokyo Dumbo after visiting several houses.
Hiroyuki Kimura was born in Tokyo in 1975, and after graduating from Tama Art University's Japanese painting Department, he has been active as a painter who draws a unique sumo wrestling by carefully covering the sumo room from morning training to this place.
In 2017, it was until he served as a commentary on the NHK Sumo broadcast, and it was said that it was also given a glance by stakeholders.
When Tokyo Dumbo visited, a reporter in charge of sumo wrestling was also coming.
RIKISHI MEN
The highlight of this solo exhibition is RIKISHI MEN, which is also the title of the exhibition.
The faces of Makuuchi and all ten wrestlers painted in watercolor on a paper plate are drawn as masks.
It seems that the gap is a sold wrestler, but there are many things that are on display even if they have been sold.
When viewed from the side, the three-dimensional effect of the paper plate expresses the plump feeling of the wrestler's profile.
The sumo wrestler's four-legged name was not written, but the sea of Oki could be guessed.
In addition, the callers are also drawn, and it is Mr. Kimura who loves sumo.
Tokyo Dumbo also wears a mask of noble scenic beauty.
Hiroyuki Kimura and Etsuko Shibata (store owner of the gallery)
Etsuko Shibata, the owner of the gallery, is also a graduate of Tamami University as Kimura.
At last year's Art Festa, I visited this gallery and taught me the fun of visiting the gallery.
Mr. Kimura, Mr. Shibata, thank you very much for having a pleasant talk.
