Keep the warmth in your heart-Ginza Brick Gallery
The brick gallery in Ginza will close on December 18th. Twenty-six artists who have been closely related until now have exhibited their works, celebrating the end of the gallery. The brick gallery is located on the second floor of a building on Kibikicho Street next to Kabukiza Theater, and has been operated by Keiko Takeuchi for 23 years. I was taken care of by a painter Takako Kotani, who was holding a solo exhibition on the theme of "News from Venezuela" in 2018.
Mr. Takeuchi continued to work alone in the gallery, but decided to close the gallery because of the difficulty of working in an aging building and the desire to travel here and there while fine. It seems to have been decided.
A stole and fur bag made by spinning cashmere from thread.
Flowers and leaves made by dyeing cloth one by one.
Osaka's artist's wax dyeing.
Pottery made with a cloud motif
One wheel vase of artists making furniture, etc.
In addition, every work is carefully made one by one, such as capsicum guards, painters' works, accessory artists, etc., which were taught by injured people how to make it, and is full of warmth. Mr. Takeuchi's personality was full of warmth in the room. It is lonely that Kabukiza can be seen from the window and the brick gallery disappears from Kibiki-cho, but I pray for Takeuchi's spirit and the success of the artists.
