[Nihonbashimuromachi] It was the entrance of my trip to Mie
"Mie Terrace"

Hello everyone.
Many readers of this blog would like to travel. I'm one of them.

Last year, I was planning to visit Ise-jingu Shrine in Mie Prefecture, which I had never visited, but the plan has been postponed due to circumstances. There are words that I remember at that time.

If you can't go to Ise, you can go to Mie Terrace.
―― Marie Antoinette

The concept of the restaurant at Mie Terrace is Shinsen, a sacred dish of Ise-jingu Shrine. "Mikuriya" is the name of the place where the offering is marched. It is said that the menu is rich in Mie's sea, mountains, and villages, and you can enjoy it as if you were traveling in Mie while staying in Nihonbashi.

That's why I would like to report when I had a meal on Mie Terrace instead of the trip that did not come true this time.

※This article contains some of the author's creations. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Restaurant & cafe

Restaurant & Cafe [Nihonbashimuromachi] This was the entrance to the trip to Mie Terrace.

In Mie Prefecture, forestry has been flourishing since ancient times, and the interior of Mie Terrace was used abundantly with Hinoki. The restaurant is based on the concept of Mikuriya, and it is a dignified space with a sacred atmosphere without impurity.

The partition is designed with a traditional craft called Ise Katagami.

The moderately casual uniform was also nice. The material that seems to be easy to move is Ise cotton. It was only what I knew for the first time for me who was not studying, but it is a nice mechanism to be able to touch the industry and traditions of Mie Prefecture from the whole shop in this way.

Let's have it right away.

It is said that young bluefin tuna fish are called Yokowa around Mie Prefecture. That's right. The food at Mie Terrace is Italian style. Buono (Bono)!

Red wine stewed with cemorina powder Rome-style gocchi Matsusaka beef and black pepper
Matsusaka beef, called the artwork of meat, appeared just like an art work. Rome-style gnocchi, which looks like a pedestal, is characterized by a sticky texture.

Grill Echalotte and mustard sauce of Iga beef
The Iga beef, a purveyor of Iga Ninja, is simply grilled. Will I be able to become a ninja if I eat every day?
Here's a casual addition of craft beer.

Salt gelato of Jiro persimmon tart tatan style Iwato in Taki-cho
In front of this Dolce, we also had Granite, a Japanese pear from Mie Prefecture, which was re-examined. Jiro persimmon Taki-cho is an inland town blessed with rich specialty products. Iwato's salt is a purely domestic natural sea salt made from seawater with a process passed down to the scenic spot Futamigaura, which is also depicted in Ukiyo-e.

Until the end, it turned out that ingredients from all regions of Mie Prefecture were used. Thank you very much for your feast.

The entrance of a trip to Mie connecting from Nihonbashi

Nihonbashi is a city known for its many merchants from Ise. Looking around the Mie Terrace, there are long-established stores from the Edo period with roots in Sesu, such as Mitsukoshi and Ninben. The “Mie no Happiness” at Mie Terrace while feeling many ties with Ise Country was very delicious.

Travel was very popular with the common people of the Edo period, and it was said that he wanted to visit Ise once in a lifetime.
The Edo kid will also try Ise ginseng and kimono with Zhu Walker.
One day I pledged to step on the soil of Mie Prefecture and left Nihonbashi.
