[Taste of Chuo-ku, extra edition] "GARDEN HOUSE Shinjuku" where you can taste the roasted green tea of Morinoen with sweets.

Hello everyone. I have no eyes on sweet things.

Today, I would like to report on the occasion of obtaining the taste of Chuo-ku in a slightly distant place.

I came to Basta Shinjuku

Busta Shinjuku, which opened in April 2016, is a huge traffic node that integrates railway stations, highway bus terminals, taxi platforms, etc. Along with the towering JR Shinjuku Miraina Tower, it has become a new landmark at the south exit of Shinjuku.

It is located on the south side of Shinjuku Station, so it is located in Shibuya-ku. This is also a phenomenon found in the Takashimaya Times Square and Shinjuku Southern Terrace.

We are also in Yaesu, Chuo-ku, Japan's largest bus terminal development project is underway, and some of them will begin to function next year. From there, the story of a number of journeys will be born again.

Well, there is a reason why I came to the first post town on Koshu Road all the way. Here in Shinjuku, there is a sweets made with Morinoen Hojicha.

The shop you are looking for is NEWoMan in JR Shinjuku Miraina Tower, GARDEN HOUSE Shinjuku on the 4th floor of Shinjuku. It is a dining cafe with a wonderful space in the city where you can feel the fusion with nature.

First of all, I will explain Morinoen before introducing sweets.

Kenko Hoji Tea Store Morinoen

Morinoen, located in amazake Yokocho, Nihonbashi Ningyocho, is a Hojicha specialty store founded in 1914. Because it is roasted at the store, it always smells good in the neighborhood.

Morinoen is not only tea but also the taste of this specialty store, Hojicha soft serve ice cream with the richness and aroma. In fact, although it was regrettable due to various circumstances, it was once sold out in June this year, but there was a great news of the revival this time. In addition, the second floor is a sweet shop, where you can have a parfait and anmitsu along with Hojicha.

Please refer to this archive for more information about Morinoen.

Now that we tell you the deliciousness of Morinoen, let's have today's leading role appear.

Hojicha Cheese Cake by GARDEN HOUSE Shinjuku

Hojicha Cheese Cake by GARDEN HOUSE Shinjuku [Taste of Chuo-ku, extra edition] "GARDEN HOUSE Shinjuku" where you can taste Morinoen's Hojicha with sweets.

This is GARDEN HOUSE Shinjuku original Hojicha cheesecake. It is a popular product with an order of 3,000 cuts per month, and this cake uses Morinoen's medicinal Hojicha.

The catch phrase of Yakuzen Hojicha, which is a unique blend of Dokudami, Sugina, and Habucha, is "Health joy and health taste". It's a thankful tea that makes you feel better.

There was a message from the staff. First of all, we will enjoy only the cheesecake, and on the way we will go along the direction of pouring the attached Hojicha cream sauce.

Here is "Hidden Chuo-ku". I put Hojicha cream sauce into HARIO's heat-resistant glass beaker, which celebrated its 100th anniversary this year.

The cheesecake, which is cooked over a long time by roasting hot water, is smooth. By boiling the tea leaves with fresh cream, the roasted aroma is firmly transferred to the dough. The thick and rough bottom cluster was also wonderful, and it was perfect for the moist and mouthfeel cake. It's a collaboration with a long-established store in Chuo-ku, so it's delicious.

There are not many shops in Tokyo that offer hoji-cha flavored cheesecakes. The taste of the cheesecake itself and the roasted deep scent behind it were hard to taste elsewhere. There is also the joy of encountering the taste of Chuo-ku in a remote place. Cheese cakes made with Morinoen's medicinal hojicha are recommended for those who like sweets, those who like hojicha, those who love Chuo-ku, and all directions. This time, we took out the frozen-sold whole cake, but next time we would like to have a meal and tea in the store.
