Chuo-ku alley back exploration series [Tsukishima, Tsukuda Island]
Hello, this is the new correspondent "Take-chan".
This time, we are planning to look at the back alleys of Chuo-ku while walking. The back alleys are called "back alleys", "back alleys", "yokocho", " alleys", and " alleys", but this time with a relaxed feeling, the narrow roads between shops and shops, buildings and buildings, houses and houses Let's explore all "behind alleys".
Following the third [Ningyocho / Mitsukoshi First Edition], the fourth is [Tsukishima / Tsukuda Island Edition]. Well, let's take a walk again this time.
There are several ways to get lost in the back alley world of Tsukishima. For the first time, walk around Harumi-dori St. for about 100m from the exit of Kachidoki Station on the Oedo Line toward Kachidokibashi, turn right at Kachidokibashi police box, cross the Tsukishima River at Nishinakabashi, and reach Tsukishima Monja Street (Nishinaka Dori) definitely.
There are countless back alleys on both sides of Tsukishima Monja Street (Nishinaka-dori). Let's find the back alley you like and walk around!
Tsukishima's specialty! Encounter the riku turtle "Bon-chan"!
If you walk along Tsukishima Monja Street, you'll find a bit of Kuroyama.
I wondered if there was a street performer, but there was a big turtle.
"Bon-chan" is a lick turtle born in 1996. The children are curious about Bon-chan.
Behind the alley of Tsukishima
On both sides of Tsukishima Monja Street (Nishinaka-dori), there are as many stars behind the alley like this.
This is the back alley where Tsukishima "Hotei-san", which is very popular in Anko-nabe, is located. I hear it's the house of Torayasu Hotei's relatives.
No matter where you enter the alley, a lot of flowers are eye-catching. Flowers grown by those living in the alleys are lined up narrowly.
The Nishinakadori Regional Safety Center, the oldest active police box in the Metropolitan Police Department.
The police box was built as a wooden police box in 1921 (Daisho 10) and then rebuilt in 1926 (Daisho 15), and is now Historic buildings. Currently, it is not a police box but a "local safety center".
The Metropolitan Police Department's website states, "The Regional Safety Center is a local safety supporter who is a police officer OB mainly in the daytime as a base for community safety activities and exchange places for various volunteer activities." I am.
Wells scattered in the back alley of Tsukuda Island
While walking along Tsukuda Island, I found some wells.
Wells on Tsukuda Island seem to have the highest active rate in Tokyo.
On Tsukuda Island, it is possible to make the well-end meeting realistically even today.
Tsukishima and Tsukuda Island are stardom in the back alley.
In this project, I walked in search of Tsukiji Outer Market, Ginza, Ningyocho / Mitsukoshi-mae and unknown back alleys. I realized again that there are many atmosphere behind the alleys in Chuo-ku. There were back alleys full of a sense of life, back alleys like Mamiya, and back alleys for sightseeing purposes.
But I don't think there are so many areas where there are many back alleys as Tsukishima and Tsukuda Island, even if you look around Tokyo. Of course, there are many delicious back alleys in Tokyo besides Chuo-ku.
Among them, it is no exaggeration to say that Tsukuda Island, which has been a long history since the early days of Tokugawa shogunate, and Tsukishima, which was built afterwards, are stardom in the back alleys.
