-Monument of Ginza willow
~ A willow monument that beautifully colored the Ginza Brick Street ~
When the Ginza Brick Street was completed, pine, maple (Kaede), cherry blossoms, etc. were planted as street trees, but soon died.
Instead, they planted willows, which took root.
After that, willows disappeared from Ginza several times due to road expansion and large fires, but thanks to the efforts of the locals, the willow green has covered the whole area.
The monument is engraved with the lyrics and music of "Ginza's willow".

Shimbashi Main Pillar
The Shimbashi main pillar was a bridge that used to be built over the Shiodome River, which used to flow between Shimbashi and Ginza, and disappeared with the reclamation work of the river in 1963.
The existing Shimbashi main pillar is a part of a bridge made of reinforced concrete with a length of 20m and a width of 27m in 1925.
It is a valuable remain that preserves the origin of the local name.

The ruins of Kinharu Yashiki
In the Edo era, the family was given knowledge, dividend United States, and support as a Noh actor directly under the Shogunate. There was Yotsuya of Kongo).
Noh was developed with the encouragement of the Ashikaga Shogunate in the Muromachi period, and during the Azuchi-Momoyama period, it grew greatly under the protection of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, an enthusiastic enthusiast.
In particular, the Kinharu family was given the strong protection of Hideyoshi and was called the leader of Noh.
Edo shogunate also protected Noh by following Hideyoshi's policy, and designated the four seats of Kinharu, Kanze, Hosho and Kongo as Shikigaku, which is deeply involved in the ceremony of the Shogunate.
According to "Kokkamanyoki", which describes the situation in Edo city around Genroku 5 (1693), Kinharu Tayu was Sannoucho (Sanuchi: current Ginza 8-chome) and Kanze Daio was Yumicho (Yumicho: current Ginza 2-chome) and Daio Hosho is Ogamachi. ※(Ogacho: current Kyobashi 1-chome) ・ Daio Kongo worshiped a mansion in Takiyamamachi (Takiyamacho: current Ginza 6-chome).
It is said that the Kinharu family worshiped the mansion in Kanei 4 (1627), and the name of `` Shichiro Kinharu '' can be confirmed in the Kanei era Edo map `` Edo Shozu, Bushu Toshima-gun '' It is shown around Ginza 8-chome 6, 7, and 8.
Later, the mansion moved to Kojimachi (now Chiyoda-ku), but geisha gathered on the site and developed as a flower district.
Kinharu's name is "Kinharuyu" and "Kinharu Street", and it still remains here.
-From the explanation board of the Chuo-ku Board of Education
※ In Ogamachi, there was a residence where ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige Utagawa spent about 10 years from later Kaei 2 (1849) to his death.

-Kinharu House Ruins
-The site of a Noh actor's residence directly under the Shogunate~
During the Edo period, Yotsuya of Kinharu, Kanze, Hosho, and Kongo worshiped a mansion in the current central area as a Noh actor directly under the Shogunate.
Among them, the Kinharu family was a traditional family that flourished since the Muromachi period, and the mansion was equivalent to the current 6-8 Ginza 8-chome.
After the relocation of the mansion, Geisha, called Kinharu Geisha, gathered on the site.
A woman who worked down at the Kinharu Yashiki is said to be the roots of the Kinharu Geisha, and is familiar with art such as Nagauta, Tokiwazu, Kouta, Hatauta, and dance, and is also a talent to entertain people. It gained popularity because it was good, and the surrounding area developed as a flower town (*).
Noh is performed on the streets of Kinharu-dori every year on August 7th.

※ Earlier, I wrote the phrase "Selling Geisha called Koharu of Konparu Jinmichi".
It is a character in the 45th Edo Classic Rakugo "Shijimi Sell" in the article "Slightly worrisome Shrine 8-Ko Inari Shrine-" on October 22, 2021.

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
In a guide on a tour bus at the Marugoto Museum in Chuo-ku on November 13 (Sunday), last year, Rosmari talked about the Noh Kinharu Festival as follows.
・・・ The name remains on the back of Noh's Kinharu style.
During the Edo period, Yotsuya's mansions in Kinharu, Kanze, Hosho, and Kongo were all located in the current Chuo-ku.
The fact that the oldest Kinharu-ryu mansion was here is the origin of the name of Kinharu-dori.
I would like to say that the Noh Theater Kinharu Festival will be held here on Kinharu Street on August 7 every year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not held two years ago and last year, and preparations were being made in the direction of the initial holding this year, but in the end it was decided to cancel it.
When the Noh Kinharu Festival is held, it is called "road Noh", and the Kinharu Ryu sect dances Noh on the road.
And usually enshrined on the roof of the building, Kinharu Inari, which is generally closed to the public, can go down on Kinharu Street only on this festival day, and you can visit it.
I hope that the Noh Kinharu Festival will be held next year for the first time in four years. ・・・

Monument of Kimharu Street Brick remain
Ginza is one of the most valuable brick streets that were built only in Japan.
The other was the brick street in Marunouchi.
But today there is no other way to see the brick streets of Meiji period from these remain.
The designer is an Englishman named Thomas James Wartors.
It is said that France spent less than 4% of the national budget at that time over 10 years from Meiji 5 (1872), and it was said that there was a total of more than 10,000 meters.
This brick was excavated at Ginza 8-chome 8-8 (former Kinharu Yashiki site) and will be preserved as a monument on Kinharu Street related to it.
The picture below is carved on a copper plate based on old photographs reminiscent of Kinharu-dori brick street at the time, such as gas lamps, posters, Japanese lantern, etc. in the early Meiji era.
