New River

Looking back on 2023 with President Kashimaya!
The "Taru Sake Festival" will also be held on December 27! ~

"New River" is a correspondent starting from "Shinkawa".

It's only about 10 days to leave early this year. What kind of year did 2023 be for you?

I passed the Chuo-ku Tourism Examination Test in February, and through the activities of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association correspondent, I was able to learn more about Shinkawa where I work, and it is my greatest pleasure to meet many people.

This is the last blog of this year, and I would like to look back on 2023 with President Hirooka of Kashimaya who appeared on the first blog (about the town of sake wholesaler "Shinkawa"-asking with President Kashimaya-). I think.

I met President Hirooka at Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine, where I visited during my morning commute, and I came to know him.

This year, it was best that Corona had calmed down. Gradually, the events I had planned have also returned. Thank you very much.

In August, the Fukagawa Hachiman Festival (main festival) was held for the first time in six years. The Shinko Festival on the 12th and the imperial procession of each town portable shrine on the 13th were held as usual, and I think it was the best thing.

At the Reitaisai festival of Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine in October, we held a "direct meeting" after the ceremony, but except for "Shinkawa tightening", we were able to do it in the same way as before Corona, and it was more lively than usual.

Also, at the end of October, the “modern sake troupe” departed Kobe Port and carried the “Nada no Sake” to the Takeshiba dock in Tokyo for the first time in two years.

And on December 27, we will hold the "Taru Sake Festival" as the last event of this year!

On October 17 (Tuesday), the annual festival of Masaru Shinkawa Jingu was held.

A ceremony was held on the precincts from 11:00 am, and then at around 11:40, we moved to the next building of the Sake Foods Health Insurance Association and held a `` Naorai '', but this year more than usual Participants (about 200 people) gathered and showed a great excitement.

The main event of "Naorai" is "Shinkawa tightening". Until before Corona, I used to drink one cup, but this year I prepared a cup (dedicated cup) for all the participants, started with "Sohana", and then drink alcohol dedicated to Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine in order. This year, most of the people came to the end and closed successfully.

※ I heard that if you have faith in Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine, you can participate even if you are not a related person, so I would like to participate next year and experience Shinkawa tightening.

I also attended the arrival ceremony of the "modern version of Tarumisen"! (November 5)

There was an event to carry "Nada no Sake" from Kobe to Tokyo through the "modern version of the Tarumisen" (yacht) to reproduce the Tarumisen that carried barrel sake from Nada to Edo.

The “modern version of the Tarumisen” departed Kobe Port on Sunday, October 29 and arrived at the Takeshiba Pier in Tokyo on Sunday, November 5 for the arrival ceremony. As the organizer, I attended the arrival ceremony, but in addition to the mirror opening of "Nada no Sake" and tasting party, we also introduced Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine, and it was an event where you could enjoy the culture of "Descent Sake". At the end of the event, all the representatives of Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine also performed "Shinkawa tightening".

Taru sake was just a good drinking time when we arrived in Tokyo while being shaken by a boat, and the sake we had at the venue was exceptionally delicious than usual.

On September 26 (Tuesday), "Learn from Shinkawa" of Chuo FM "Hello! RADIO CITY"! The path to "Tsubee"!」 (A corner where guests related to sake explore the history and traditions of Shinkawa, which was called Edo's largest sake market!) I've seen it. This is based on the previous guest, Mr. Takeo Imada, the fourth generation of Imada Shoten. This corner started in August, and this was the second time.

In the program, there was a scene where I introduced memories of sake as an important "that cup", but he chose our registered trademark sake "Sohana" (Sohana) with my father (his grandfather), "In the past, there was a Toden running on Eitai-dori St., and when I got off the bus stop in Shinkawa, the scent of sake was also smelled." This is a story that my father taught me, and I think I've talked about it before, but I think it's an unforgettable memory as a son of a sake wholesaler born and raised in Shinkawa. .

From 10:30 am to 15:00 am on December 27 (Tuesday), the "Taru Sake Festival" will be held at Masaru Shinkawa Jingu (http://shinkawadaijingu.or.jp/). The main festival was invented to enliven the town of the sake wholesaler, Shinkawa, and will be held for the fifth time this year without interruption during the Corona period.

The barrel sake exhibited was made in Nada and Fushimi during the Edo period and transported to Edo. Hakutsuru (Hakuzuru Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.), Nipponmori (Nipponmori Co., Ltd.), Shiraka (Tatsuma Honke Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.), Ozeki (Ozeki Co., Ltd.), Sawanotsuru (Sawanotsuru Co., Ltd.), Shirayuki (Konishizo Co., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd.), Shirayuki Co., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd., Ltd. All will be sold by weight in Nito barrels that have been prayed at Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine (720ml of all brands, 2,000 yen including tax). In addition, the festival will end when all barrel sake is sold out. By the way, last year Nihonmori was sold out first.

In addition to barrel sake, there are also sales of tote bags and clear files specially made by Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine, and sales of sake shos are also planned this year.

Last year was the 70th anniversary of Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine, which disappeared in the war in 1945 (Showa 20) and rebuilt in 1952 (Showa 27), but next year, Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine was founded in 1625 (Kanei 2).

I hope that next year will be an environment where you can enjoy drinking even more without worrying about COVID-19, and that the industry will flourish even more.

Everyone, please go to the "Taru Sake Festival" at Masaru Shinkawa Jingu Shrine in guardian angel, a sake wholesaler on December 27.

※ Every year, I purchase various brands at the Taru Sake Festival, and as a New Year's sacred wine, I enjoy the scent and fresh taste of cedar barrels that tickle the nasal cavity. Why don't you all purchase this auspicious prayer liquor? Good luck! (Gohanjou!)

Yeah

Starting in April, “About the town of sake wholesalers“ Shinkawa ”-Ask President Kashimaya-”, a total of nine bottles each month. I've written blogs related to Shinkawa or Shinkawa.

Looking back, at first, I thought mainly about interview articles (although I said in the program of Chuo FM that appeared in June), it was very difficult to adjust the timing and schedule of the interview, and when I noticed, I wrote about "The bridge over Shinkawa (the bridge over the bridge)".
Originally, my hobby was outdoor activities such as camping and hiking, I liked the waterside such as rivers, and there are still many bridges with high historical value in Chuo-ku, so the target of the blog became a bridge I think it was gone.
What I kept in mind was that I posted the history of the bridge and old photos as much as possible, and I was interested in the various aspects and structure of the bridge, and examined and introduced them. I couldn't write anything wrong, so I went to the Kyobashi Library almost every day. Thank you very much for your support.

Well, this year is just a few more. Thank you very much for reading the blog from April, including this time. In 2024, I would like to take on new challenges again next year. Everyone, please have a good year.

※ Thank you very much for your cooperation with President Kashimaya and Hirooka during the busy year-end. In addition, we provided many photos and posted them. I would like to thank you again.
