1617 The temple under the direct control of Kyoto Nishi Honganji Temple (Jodo Shinshu Honganji school Honganji school) founded in 1617.

Tsukiji Honganji Temple was located near Yokoyamacho near Asakusabashi.

It was burned down by the great fire of the Meiryaku era, and Gobo was completed in Tsukiji in 1679. The vast site that used to reach the current Tsukiji Outer Market has been halved due to land readjustment after the Great Kanto Earthquake.

Since the main hall was burned down by the fire of the Great Kanto Earthquake, Chuta Ito was rebuilt in 1934 as a stone statue that imitated ancient Indian style.
