Mr. Magome was liked by Ieyasu Tokugawa when Edo shogunate started, and ordered the position of "the role of a horse".
It was the current Nihonbashiodenmacho that Magome set up the mansion.


Magome's mansion enshrines Ebisu image of deity, allegedly received from Ieyasu Tokugawa.
That's why Ebisu-ko was held in Nihonbashiodenmacho.

In that sense, the origin can be said to be in Nihonbashiodenmacho rather than Nihonbashi Honmachi.

So, where is Nihonbashi Honmachi? This is because the Ebisu statue in Magome's mansion was moved to the current Takarada Ebisu Shrine (3-chome Nihonbashi Honmachi) in the late Edo period, so it seems that it is true.



In fact, if you take a closer look at Takarada Ebisu Shrine (Nihonbashihonmachi 3-chome), you can see the word "Nihonbashiodenmacho" everywhere.
If you don't pay attention to it, it's likely to overlook it, but it's interesting to see it after knowing such a history.
