Remotely navigate the beloved Chuo-ku, rosemary sea.

We are introducing the events currently being held at the long-established knives shop Nihonbashi Kiya Honten, which is usually attached to the gallery izutuki, but this time I will talk differently.

That's the story of "Kiya's nail clipper".

I would like to talk with Yukio Hattori, a cooking critic who died at the age of 78 on the 4th of this month.

Then...

The story will start 18 years ago ...
And the story of 14 years ago ...

I remember 18 years ago, a talk show by culinary critic Yukio Hattori was held at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi.

Rosmari used the lunch break at work and listened to this talk show.

In that story, Dr. Hattori recommended "Kiya's nail clipper".

Of course, he said that he also used himself.

It seems that Kiya's nail clipper was listed as a recommended item in lectures, newspapers and magazines for a long time.

"Cookers are fingertips," he said.

・・・ At the venue of the talk show, Kiya's nail clippers were also sold.

I remember that the price of one piece at that time is 500 yen.

One, Rosmali bought it there.

That's why Yukio Hattori was the first person who tied Kiya's goods to rosmari.

Even now, I'm very grateful.

I also went to Kiya's shop.

18 years ago, that is, in 2006, Kiya was a street shop.

It was a shop across Mitsukoshi's road.

Then, on October 28, 2010, 14 years ago, "COREDO Muromachi" (currently COREDO Muromachi 1) was built where Kiya's shops were built, and Kiya entered the first floor.

The location has hardly changed from the previous one, but it has changed to a modern one.

This is a story about 8 years ago.

This time it's about eight years ago ... Nihonbashi Kiya's nail clipper

Eight years ago, Rosmari became a correspondent of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association.

After a few months, after improving his coverage, Rosmali visited Kiya to negotiate interviews and wrote an article.

In this article, I wrote "a famous cooking critic", which shows "Koo Hattori".

And I reappeared as the image above, but in the image in this article, Rosmali introduced the three black small, Kiya's nail clipper at home.

This image is also a lineup of Kiya's nail clippers that I introduced in an article 8 years ago.

That's right.

And now, the nail clipper held by the rosmary, of course, the one of Kiya ...

As in the opening image, the top is black and the bottom is black.

Of the three images eight years ago, black small, I handed one to my daughter from the new one, and one purchased 18 years ago remained.

Kurodai was a gift to my mother-in-law before, but it was a gift that returned to my home before my mother-in-law died, saying, "I will not use it anymore." I take care of it.

Black size and black small are both active nail clippers in our home.

Even after 18 years, the sharpness is still outstanding.

As expected, the surface is a little fading and scratching, but it can be used without any problems.

In addition, the simple design with only the letters "KIYA" and the overall form are also wonderful.

I would like to use it for a long time in the future.

The feature of Kiya's nail clipper is that the blade part is made of steel.

It is sharper than others and has a different blade holding.

The feel of cutting is also a very comfortable gem.

I think it's perfect for a gift.

I'm very pleased to have given a number of rosmari to relatives and acquaintances.

For those who say "a little bad at cutting nails", black size is recommended.

What is the current lineup of Kiya's nail clippers?

Kiya's nail clipper is an absolute popular product released in 1987.

It is said that it has not changed since its launch.

◎ KIYA claw cut black size 1,760 yen

◎ KIYA nail clipper 1,760 yen

◎ KIYA nail cut black small 1,100 yen

◎ KIYA claw cut black size (with paulownia box) 2,178 yen

◎ KIYA claw cut black small (in paulownia box) 1,507 yen

◎ KIYA nail clipper black small (in white box) 1,155 yen

※ All prices are tax-included.

But...

Actually, only black size and black size (with paulownia box) are currently sold.

The rest of the item is sold out.

And it seems that the black stock is not stable.

Even if the sales of black small were revived later, it is assumed that black large stock will run out this time.

And with regard to gold, it seems that Shiga has no stock for the time being.

If you have a nail clipper stock, it seems that you usually enter the shop and have a nail clipper corner at the back left.

※ For inventory, please see Kiya's online shop or contact the shop directly by phone.
