Birds of the Kamejima River
The Kamejima River is an L-shaped waterway connecting the Nihonbashi River and the Sumida River. The Nihonbashi River has the Nihonbashi Suimon, the Sumida River has the Kamejima River Suimon, and the waterway is protected. .
Thanks to that, the river is rarely rough, so I see various birds on a daily basis. Especially during the winter, many kinds of migratory bird come, so it's very lively (^^)
The other day, I participated in a bird watching party introduced by Usako Tsukuda, and learned a lot (for example, how to distinguish between tufted duck and Suzugamo), so based on that, I arranged the photos I took in February this January.
The above photo shows Yurikamome (left) and black-tailed gull (right). Both seem to be used to humans, and even if you take a picture from a close distance, just glaring back and not trying to escape at all. Thanks to this, it was a photo that clearly shows the mohmov's adjustment (laughs).
Please refer to the articles of TAKKK (2019) and Sam (2014) for birds on the Kamejima River.
Is it a regular every year?
From the upper left, grey heron,black-tailed gull, and from the lower left.
Yurikamome, black-tailed gull and Segurokamome have a very similar shape, but if you arrange them, you can see the difference.
By the way, Seguro Seagull was on the north side of Shin-Kameshima Bridge, and the remaining three were on the south side.
The positional relationship between the three birds is like this.
The reason why I was concerned about the positional relationship ...
As you can see from the above TAKKK's article, grey heron and the gull seem to be in exactly the same place as a year ago! Maybe it's the same individual? ? ?
Cute northern pintail
There are many kinds of ducks, but I like northern pintail's charming face.
In addition, there are some types of ducks that dive in the water with the whole body when catching food, and some of them dive only in the upper body, but this northern pintail is the latter, and it is humorous to pull out the buttocks.
Can wild animals become such an unprotected figure? I feel like that (laughs).
A coot and a cormorant
A cormorant was mixed in a flock of coots playing sun beside the Nihonbashi sluice gate.
The cormorant on the right shows only the shadow in the red circle in the left image.
The giant van feels somewhat ducky when swimming, but in fact it is a completely different kind of belonging to the "Validaceae". (Most ducks are ducklings)
Certainly, when you see it rises to the land and becomes round, you can't see it in ducks ... it looks like a strange creature ...
Squirrel
According to the rabbits of Tsukuda and the bird watching party, this year is the hit year of the duck, and more ducks are flying than usual.
By the way, the wings on the back are a little black, and tufted duck is hanging something like a braid on the back of the head.
Japanese white-eye
Old: The area where Sakuragawa is connected to the Kamejima River (formerly around Inari Bridge) is a small park.
Several Kawazu cherry trees are planted there, as saru (2019) introduces.
When I happened to pass by the other day, Japanese white-eye was picking flowers, so I took a picture. It was rather warm this day, and it seemed that early spring had come.
