⑨ Ryogokubashi Bridge
(Interview image)
(passing 23:00 from departure)

Ryogoku Bridge is the last ninth of nine bridges in the Sumida River Chuo-ku.

Ryogokubashi

(Higashibashi 2-chome to Ryogoku 1-chome, Sumida-ku)

The river opening in both countries is a lou-tu of the Sumida River Fireworks Festival.

The Sumida River is the second oldest bridge after Senjuohashi, and was bridged in Manji 2 (1659) (also known as the first year of Kanbun (1661)) following the great fire of Meiji 3 (1657).

At that time, it was called Ohashi, but it was changed to Ryogoku Bridge because it was a bridge connecting Musashi Country and Shimousa Country across the Sumida River.

In 2008, it was selected as Historic buildings by Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

That's why we introduced all 9 bridges in Sumida River Chuo-ku from the downstream.

I'll take care of you.

① Tsukiji Ohashi

② Kachidokibashi

③ Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge

④ Chuo-ohashi Bridge

⑤ Eitai Bridge

⑥ Sumida River Ohashi

⑦ Kiyosu Bridge

⑧ Shinohashi

⑨ Ryogokubashi

I did it.

We will show you how to remember the 9 bridges of the Rosmari style.

If you arrange the characters on the head from the downstream, it is "tsu / tsu / chi / e / su / ki / shi / ri".

In other words, mounds, soil, S, xysil.

I remember "The mound is xylitol, which starts with X instead of the earth."

On the other hand, it's a problem. Rosmari had learned the spelling of xylitol.

For those who take the 16th Chuo-ku Tourism Test on January 27 (Sat), did you refer to it?

Also, each bridge has its own characteristics, so please remember it well.

And be careful to avoid confusion with bridges that span the Kanda River, Nihonbashi River, Kamejima River, etc.

It's the left bank. It's far away, and it's dark and hard to see in the shadow of the building.

If you look closely, you can see the bridge at the bottom of the center.

Yanagibashi is originally a bridge with a beautiful dark green shape.

Yanagibashi is the lowest bridge where the Kanda River flows into the Sumida River.

Please see the following article for a detailed explanation of Yanagibashi and a vivid Yanagibashi landscape.

In particular, Yanagibashi in the last image is beautiful.

・・・ The Chuo-ku part is so far. The left bank is Taito Ward.

The right bank continues to be Sumida-ku.

If you look closely at the Asahi Group Headquarters Building in Asakusa on the right bank, you can see that the rooftop is decorated like beer bubbles.

And on the roof of the Super Dry Hall next to it, there is a golden object.

This was installed in 1989 with the completion of the Super Dry Hall.

It is designed by French designer Philippe Starug, and says "Fulham Dole [flamme d'or French] (gold flame)".

It's a burning flame.

I'll summarize it and explain it.

In the back of this, a large lantern with the word "Kobunacho" is displayed.

It is said to be 1659, but it began with the dedication of Tsukiji in front of the current fish shore, Toyosu, Nihonbashi in front of it, and the followers of the fish shore of Nihonbashi, and it has been more than 360 years to date. It has been raised continuously.

The current one was dedicated in 2014.

It's a strong connection with Chuo-ku.

In addition, about the large lantern of Kofune-cho, Ginzo was previously mentioned in the article.

・・How was it? Did you imagine a cruise?

As I said, we will almost cruise through Chuo-ku.

Why don't you take a leisurely look at the 9 bridges from the river surface and the river’s edge of the Sumida River?

Postscript

As I mentioned in the first half, the 16th Chuo-ku Tourism Test will be held on January 27 (Saturday).

Rosmari took the 15th session in February this year and cleared the third cycle to continue correspondents.

So I won't take the 16th exam.

If you are taking the 16th exam, please do your best. I wish you all the best.

Rosemari tries "Chuo-ku sightseeing certification de time attack" and solidifies his knowledge.

I hope many people do so.

It is not promised that a high score can be obtained in the time attack = a high score in the actual Chuo-ku sightseeing test, but conquering past questions will create a sense of comfort.

As I wrote in the second series of this series on February 16 this year (two days before the 15th Chuo-ku Tourism Certification [February 18]), Rosmari's time attack last December ranked fourth in the elementary class (277 points), intermediate 8th (267 points), advanced only slightly out of the best ten (13 points).

This year was the third place in the elementary school in November (279 points), and it was the first challenge this season.

For the time being, I don't have any plans to try a time attack, but I would like to try again when I feel like it.

〇 What is a correspondent of Chuo-ku Tourism Association?

I'll write about it.
