After this, the author enjoyed it.
Hello everyone. I'm Ino, a class B correspondent.
This time, I will send you the second part of the story about Meiji Seika sweets.

Meiji Seika Kaisha, Ltd., after business integration and business reorganization, is now Meiji Co., Ltd., and is headquartered in Kyobashi Edgran. Please note that this article, which looks back on nostalgic memories, uses the old company name that has been used to for many years.
"Open!" 。
Pioneer of gummy candy in Japan
After this, the author enjoyed it.
There is an image of relatively new sweets, but surprisingly "juice gummi" born in Showa. I remember that the juice was really strong and I became a fan the moment I ate it.
Japan's first gummy candy was "Cola Up". At the beginning of the release, each of the gummies was in a plastic molded tray and covered with an oblate. Currently, it has evolved into hard gummies, and my partner has also changed from "orange up" to "lemon up".
For snacks on excursions
After this, the author enjoyed it.
Gum "xylitol" containing xylitol. Xylitol is a sweetener that is said to be effective in preventing caries and is now quite familiar, but I have never heard before it was released in 1997.
"Yoglet" containing bifidobacterium and calcium, and "Haile Mon" containing vitamin C. When I was a child, I had a special feeling of taking out tablets from this medicine-like package.
In addition, there is "Chelsea" of Scatch Candy. The slim box is perfect for a holiday. This year marks the 50th anniversary of its launch. The stylish image of Scotland style remains the same.
Memories of the end of production
In the past, there was a light blue wrapping paper called "Carmin" and a mint-flavored refreshing confectionery wrapped in silver paper. That was the reserved seat of "Carmin" until "Yoglet" and "Haile Mon" appeared. It was a super long-selling that was released in 1921 100 years ago, but it ended production in 2015.
In 2015, the chocolate confectionery "Poporon" in the shape of a cream puff has also been sold. A commercial song called "♪ Popololonron, Popololon" is still in my ears.
Meiji Seika used to sell "MacVitie's" born in U.K., who just humps "♪ Yanyayaya, McVitie!" Choco-gake's "digestive biscuit" was a very satisfying snack.
Even so, the snack is curl
After this, the author enjoyed it.
"Car" was released in 1968 as Japan's first snack confectionery. After that, you will build an immovable position as a standard snack for everyday life. In the Heisei era, challenging flavors were born one after another. Among them, I liked "Okonomiyaki Aji". In short, it was a sauce flavor, and I grew up with monjayaki, so I was very addicted.
The CM song has been sung by various singers, and characters such as Uncle Carl are also popular, and I think "Karl" is a representative of snacks that everyone in Japan knows, but in 2017 sales in East Japan ended. At the same time, "Curry Aji" also disappeared. I couldn't recover because of shock for a while.
When can I get it after this?
Since then, every time I traveled to West Japan, I bought and caught like a parent's enemy and returned home, but this is not the case at present. Your favorite "Karl", stay energetic in West Japan forever. I'll always pick you up.
To prevent infectious diseases
Speaking of which, the "gargle medicine" of the Kaba-kun mark containing Pobidon Yod, which I have often used for a long time, was also from Meiji Seika. Gargle and hand washing after "now" have been a custom of ancient times, but have you ever been conscious of such a daily life? I hope you will continue to take care of me. The stay home has been prolonged, but I would like to keep a healthy life while paying attention to gargle, hand washing, and nutritional balance so that I can enjoy my favorite sweets forever.
